Lily passed suddenly on the 24th October 2012. She had come through unscathed so many illnesses, diabetes which saw her lose half her body weight, angina, breast cancer, arthritis as well as hearing loss and eye problems, and at the grand old age of 96, she decided to go to sleep for the last time. A wonderful mother, mother in law, grandma, great grandma, auntie, great auntie and great great auntie she was loved by many. She had 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She outlived most of her friends, her husband John, her brother (also John) and many other family members, many thought she would be around forever, but sadly she decided to go and join her family and friends in heaven. Grandma lily you will be always remembered for your infectious laugh and your need to fill everyone's bellies. You never thought of yourself and put everyone, especially your son David and daughter Ann first before yourself. I love you more than words can say. I'm glad you stayed with us to see your great grandchildren born. Willow, Chloe, Harry, Koda, Seth, leila, jasper and kaia. You were a very doting grandma and always made sure none of us went without. You made our lives whole and for that, I thank you.
